New WBO Super Bantamweight Interim world champion, Isaac Dogboe has paid a visit to president Akufo-Addo following his victory over Cesar Juarez last.
The young boxer handed his Mexican opponent a fifth-round knockout during their fight at the Bukom boxing Arena last Saturday.
Following his huge victory, Dogboe and his team decided to pay a courtesy call on the first gentlemen of the land to present him the title.
The 23-year-old visited President Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House on Tuesday in the company of his father and trainer Paul Dogboe, his manager Marwan Zakem and his uncle.
The president congratulated him for his latest win, while encouraging him to continue making the nation proud.
Dogboe’s win over Juarez means he is now set for a world title fight against later this year against WBO Super Bantamweight holder Jesse Magdaleno.
Dogboe’s record now stands at 18 fights, 12 knockouts and no loses.
