The president for Konkombas Youth Association (KOYA) Mr. Charles Nyoja, has called Ghanaians to disregard the perception that Konkombas in this country are trouble makers as always reported.
He made this assertion during the LINUJIL (Yam Festival) celebration over the weekend at Kpassa of the Nkwanta North district with the theme, “PLANTING FOOD AND JOBS-THE OF ROLE THE KONKOMBA YAM FARMER IN PROMOTING SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
Mr. Nyoja Charles, alleged it was reported that Konkombas are planing war in the country which is totally false and calculated attempt by some people to make Konkombas unpopular in the country.
“We are peace loving people who concentrate on farming to feed ourselves and mother Ghana he said”.
He urged all Konkombas to embrace peace so that they can benefit from the good policies that the government is rolling out.
Mr. Nyoja also appealed to Konkombas both old and young men and women, literates and non-literates to burry all differences and together fight the common enemy like poverty, environmental degradation, unemployment, diseases, hunger, chieftaincy dispute, land dispute and Konkomba language “likpakpaln” as subject of study at the university.
