Former Ghana striker Tony Yeboah has strongly refuted reports suggesting he has given up the ghost.
Reports in the media on Monday suggested that the 51-year-old lost his life while in the USA.
The news quickly spread in the local media, with Yeboah’s wife being referred to as the source of the information.
However, the former Leeds attacker has come out to reject such reports, stressing that he is very much alive.
In a video released on Monday, he urged the public to disregard such news.
Yeboah played for the Black Stars between 1985 and 1997, and is widely considered as one of the greatest strikers to ever emerge on the continent.
He scored 29 goals in 59 appearances, helping Ghana to the final of the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations.
